Personal Equipment Checklist



 Essential Equipment for all Attendees:

  • Water bottle  and camp chair
  • Scriptures (hard copy, not electronic copy
  • Preach My Gospel manual: small (recommended) or large edition
  • Pen and/or pencil and spares and notebook
  • Modest clothing: One T-shirt provided at camp. Bring: pants / shorts, extra shirts/undershirts, socks, underwear for 3 days/2 night (4 days / 3 nights for camp leaders arriving on Monday)
  • Modest sleepwear – you will be sleeping in the vicinity of other campers of same gender in bunkhouses with walls, roofs, and doors.
  • Sweatshirt & hat (sometimes it gets cool in the evenings and sometimes the sun burns hot on the tops of heads during the day)
  • Athletic shoes or outdoor shoes (must be closed-toe shoes) – you will be running and walking quite a bit
  • Sandals or flip-flops or whatever you choose to wear during showers (optional, but recommended)
  • Poncho or rain jacket 
  • Sleeping bag and pillow ‐ Be prepared for both HOT! nights and cool nights (We’ve had them all, but mostly HOT nights); you will be sleeping on wood bunk beds with a camp mattress underneath
  • Did I say, bring water bottle?!
  • Personal items – toiletries – shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothbrush, deodorant, towel, washcloth, hygiene supplies, etc. There are shower facilities.
  • Watch and alarm clock 
  • Sunscreen, bug repellent and personal first aid kit (We’ve never had any problem with bugs/mosquitoes, but you never know. We have had sunburns)
  • Medication as necessary 
  • Flashlight 
  • Small backpack or messenger bag to carry scriptures, notepads, Preach My Gospel and water bottle around camp
  • Reminder: Water bottle– to be carried around camp – water bottles to be refilled as needed on site
  • Team captains and squad leaders bring whatever additional materials you need for your devotionals or for your teams or squads
  • Swimsuit

Service Project Essential Equipment for all Attendees:   


  • Work gloves 
  • Long sleeve shirt, long legged pants, closed-toe shoes
  • Hat (optional)
  • Long handled shovels, stiff lawn (not leaf) rakes,  pick axes, tree clippers/pruners, loppers (bring one or more if you can)

Do Not Bring:  (Violation will be reason for dismissal from camp)

  • Guns, sheath knives, axes, hatchets, or other weapons. 
  • Fireworks. 
  • Electronic equipment and/or portable gaming systems. 
  • I‐Pods or other personal listening devices. 
  • White shirt, dress pants or tie – this is a casual dress camp!  
  • Other things unbecoming a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints
  • Cell Phones will be allowed at camp, but will be confiscated if found being used for things other than pictures, reference material during devotionals and/or personal scripture time, or texting or use of other appropriate social media during free time following, not at, meals. Note that in years past, cell reception has been poor at best in most of camp.
